Since qualifying from UCD in 1977 Kevin has worked exclusively in small animal veterinary medicine.
He has bred both Golden Retrievers and Dachshunds and the current family pet is a very lively Springer Spaniel called Slaney. Living in Dalkey all his life, Kevin works closely with Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council looking after the goat herd on Dalkey Island and red squirrels on Killiney Hill.

Louise is originally from Co. Tipperary, but graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2009. After returning home Louise initially spent time working in a mixed practice in Donegal before moving to Wexford to pursue her interest in small animals. She joined Ark Vetcare in August 2011.
Louise has a 6 year old Collie, Taz, who lives at her home in Roscrea but she is keen to get a new dog for her Dublin home soon!
Brid O Callaghan
Brought up in Monkstown and now living in Dun Laoghaire, Brid qualified from UCD in 1989. She worked for two years in small animal practice before joining Ark Vetcare and was instrumental in establishing and developing the third practice in Kilmacud.
Brid has had numerous pets over the years and has recently bred Jack Russell Terriers. She currently has three dogs – Golden Retriever ‘Chi’ and two Jack Russells ‘Juliet’ and her son ‘Pip’. She also has one cat – ‘Viva’ – who is rescued.
Leaving her family home In Goatstown, Sinead pursed her dream to become a vet in Warsaw university in Poland. Upon her arrival home she worked in a busy mixed practise in Donegal before moving back home to focus on small animals. She has an interest in dermatology and hopes to start a certificate in it soon.
When she is not in work Sinead can be found walking her 4 dogs (Monza, Luna Daisy and Prim ) – the newest addition is a Rottweiler called Polly or cleaning up after her 3 rescue cats, Lenny, penny and Mr Albus Dumbledore.
