Originally from Loughlinstown, Jim qualified from University College Dublin in 1984 and then worked for a couple of years in the UK before joining Ark Vets in the newly-opened Kill Lane branch in 1986.
Jim has a particular interest in soft tissue surgery and dentistry in dogs and cats. He now lives in Glencullen where he has the space, with the help of his family, to rehabilitate some of the injured wildlife that is brought into the clinic. He is happiest walking the Wicklow Hills with his dog Cenau.
DVM BSc Zoology
Niall graduated from UCD in 2011 with a BSc in Zoology. He then went on to study in Budapest where he graduated with a DVM in Veterinary medicine in 2018 and has been working in small animal practice ever since.
He enjoys all aspects of general practice and is keen to expand his skills and knowledge. He lives in Kildare with his royal python Charlie and of course, a tortoise Hooch.
Deirdre joined Ark Vets in 2015 after having spent many years living abroad working in mixed and small animal practice in Austria and England. She qualified from the Vienna University of Veterinary Medicine. Her particular interests lie in internal medicine and soft tissue surgery of dogs, cats and rabbits.
She is the owner of a particularly handsome Labrador named Flynn and is a passionate hill walker and alpine skier.
Jessica is from Nevada and qualified from UCD in 2018 after she obtained a BSc. in animal science at Oregon State University in 2013.
Before joining Ark Vets, Jessica worked at a mixed practice in Donegal. Now she’s back living in Dublin with her partner Cian and their four dogs Izzie, Brodie, Niaomi and Cosmo.
Jessica is particularly interested in animal behavior and is Fear Free certified. She does her best to make pets feel safe and comfortable during their visits at the clinic.
