Paul McCarthy


A native of Blackrock, Paul has been a partner in the practice since 2009. After graduating UCD in 2000, he spent three years in a dedicated small animal hospital in London before joining our team. Paul introduced ultrasonography and chemotherapy to all three Ark Vetcare Hospitals.

Living locally in Glenageary, you may well bump into him walking his Springer Spaniel Kia on Killiney Hill. Paul has a keen interest in practice development and regularly visits the UK and Australia to share ideas with other practice owners and ensure Ark Vetcare is delivering the very best in pet care.

Lisa Henley

Lisa Henley

Lisa is originally from Templeogue. She graduated with honours from UCD in 2007; following 18 months working in a progressive mixed animal practice in Co Antrim, she joined Ark Vetcare in 2009 to further develop her strong interest in small animal medicine -especially feline medicine.

Lisa lives with her Yorkshire Terrier Charlie, and her cat Fred. She enjoys meeting clients and their pets and the relationships that develops with them. She has a keen interest in working up difficult and interesting medical cases and undertook a graduate certificate in small animal medicine in UCD to further her knowledge in this area.

In her spare time, Lisa is a keen runner and has completed many half marathons and the Dublin marathon.

Anita Latala


Anita is from Poland. She graduated from University in Dublin in 2005.

She began her career in busy modern SA hospital in Poland. In 2007 she moved to Ireland and started working as a SA vet in Castlebar Co Mayo, then for NOAH referral hospital in Baldoyle, County Dublin.

Anita joined Ark Vetcare in Dun Laoghaire in September 2014. She has strong interest in surgery. She lives with her family and her cat named “Lola” in the Ward, and in her spare time she is a keen gardener and regularly supplies the team with home grown fresh vegetables.

Aoife McCarthy

Aoife McCarthy, BSc MVB MRCVS

(Honours degree in Zoology 2008, Veterinary Medicine 2013, both from UCD)

Aoife is from Sandymount and graduated from UCD in 2013. She also holds a degree in Zoology.

She spent time as a student with us in Arkvet and so we were delighted when she joined the team in June 2016. After qualifying Aoife spent 3 years in a dedicated small animal hospital in the UK. She has a keen interest in surgery and dentistry.

In her spare time she enjoys rock climbing, singing, cooking, socialising with friends and walking her dogs.

Claire Walsh


Claire is from Sandyford and qualified from UCD in 2015. She spent 15 months working in the UK before returning to Dublin to join our team in September 2016. Claire enjoys all aspects of veterinary work but has a particular interest in soft tissue surgery and diagnostic imaging.

In her spare time she likes hill walking and cycling.

Clare Drury


Clare is from Clonskeagh and graduated from UCD in 2016, with an admiration and love for all animal species. She spent a year working in a busy small animal hospital in the USA where she greatly enjoyed helping look after New Jersey’s pet population! She returned to Dublin and was very excited to join the Ark Vetcare team in November 2017. She enjoys all aspects of the practice of Veterinary medicine.

In her spare time she likes to keep active with running, swimming, hockey and sailing.

Ravna Lange


Ravi is from Wicklow and graduated from UCD in 2014. She spent 18 months working in a mixed practice in Cavan before moving to the UK for two years to work in a small animal clinic in Manchester. She returned to Dublin and was excited to join the team in Oct 2018. Ravi enjoys all aspects of veterinary.

In her spare time she likes going to concerts and football games as well as running and hill walking.
