Sue Ryder Foundation Dog Show
Despite the appalling weather – the microphone worked, all dog and human hairstyles suited the “wet look”. The turn out and donations were great at the Arkvet Dog Show in aid of Sue Ryder Foundation!
Golden Oldies Party
We were all delighted to welcome lots of Golden Oldies to their party in our Foxrock Clinic. There were many “teenagers” all looking good for their years, all credit to their loving “parents”. Two of our oldest sweetest clients were “Jackie” Kiernan who is 20 and “Tilly” Hughes also aged 20 are pictured below with Anna the vet and the scrumptious cake. It was a fun day for all and a great celebration of lives well lived.
The Blue Cross were our partner in charity, they were delighted with the attendance and the support.
Paul led the tour of all our facilities. All of the “Dog Parents” were fascinated to see in inner workings of a veterinary hospital. The tour allowed access to the surgical suite ,x-ray facilities ,on-site lab and treatment room. The feedback was very positive and people found the tour interesting. It allowed clients to be re assured that behind the consulting room door best practice veterinary medicine is being performed
Guide Dogs for the Blind Fundraiser 2014
We were delighted to host an Information Afternoon at Ark Vetcare, Kill Lane, Foxrock, in aid of Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind on Saturday, October 4th.
Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind is Ireland’s national charity dedicated to helping those who are blind or visually impaired, and families of children with autism to achieve improved mobility and independence.
There was fantastic support for the Fundraiser. We all thoroughly enjoyed the Clinic tours, the grooming demonstration, the cake sale, raffle, Goody doggy bags, not to mention all the very cute Guide Dogs and Puppies in Training.
Thank you to all our clients who came along on the day and to all the Irish Guide Dog Volunteers!
Arkvet supporting Blue Cross
Well done to Lisa, Karen, Anna, Carol, Dorota, Mags, Rachel, Hannah, Louise, Brid, Heather, Sinead and Sarah who took part in the Flora Women’s Mini Marathon on June 2nd in aid of The Irish Blue Cross. It is a charity which we feel contributes so much to needy pets and the local community. If you would like to donate to this worthy cause, please call in to any of our clinics.
Dog Unleashed
Ark Vetcare actively supports the “Dogs Unleashed” campaign for responsible pet ownership and fair and reasonable bye laws for dog walkers in Dun Laoghaire Rathdown.
We were pleased to attend and advise pet owners at the “Clean Up after your Dog Day” on Killiney Hill. A great initiative from Dogs Unleashed!
