My name is Tessa Verkade and I'm originally from the Netherlands where I qualified as a vet from Utrecht University in 2015, after which I worked in a busy small animal practice in South Wales. In January 2023 I joined the Ark Vetcare team after relocating to Dublin with my family.
I enjoy all aspects of veterinary medicine, but have a special interest in internal medicine, especially gastrointestinal and endocrinological diseases. I have recently completed my post-graduate Certificate of Advanced Veterinary Practice in Small Animal Medicine through the Royal Veterinary College in London.
In my spare time I love spending time outdoors, gardening, hiking with my dog and riding my horse.
